I think people have had successes through ICM in London. I you write there then they'd probably hold it until he came back to the UK and picked up his fanmail. Might take a little while though.

I think that for most of my letters to America, its been £1.05 (2 envelopes, a letter and a blank postcard). I think thats like the 2nd 'band' of cost for a letter to America (something like a postcard may be cheaper still). I too would recommend that you get it weighed at a post office - that wa...

If you’re right in saying that there are copyright laws on certain photos, then surely that makes them less likely to be signed than an index card? If the picture is just off Google, then there’s little way of knowing whether its copyright protected or not. Maybe that’s been my ...

If I get a pre-print, then its annoying, but at least they've had the thought to send you something and a note explaining why.

I don't know if you're new to collecting, but you can't expect to get a personalised genuine autograph every time - it doesn't work like that.

It will probably be ok, but in future I would put your own address at the top of the letter.

Then, if the return envelope gets seperated from the letter, they will still have an address for you.

Keep your fingers crossed! Some celebs will send things back without a SASE, or they might realise that you've made the effort and pay for postage anyway, even if they normally don't.

With emails, I think its especially good when you get something authentic. After all, that means that the celebrity or their agent has paid for the photo, the envelope and the postage. It is asking for quite a lot from someone. I always feel a bit awkward when requesting them though. If you're writi...

I agree with TheCollector - this is a good way to get a success. It should work, because its the same as a concert where the artist is only there for a day. If the theatre has a website, it might be worthwhile emailing them just to check that they pass on fanmail. They might give you a specific offi...

Whenever i've bought them, the circle on the left hand side has had to be stamped by the post office where it was bought. I have one here, and the stamp doesn't show a price, just the location and date. Although i've never actually used an IRC to claim back stamps, I thought that the circle on the r...

I don't know for sure, but I would think that laminating them would decrease the value. If I were buying an autograph (I never have done) I think it being laminated would put me off. I can't really explain why - it just would. If you want to preserve them, maybe put them in a folder or something. Th...
