Autograph hound you have posted a lovely letter here and I am sure you must have written a touching and emotional letter to Betty White. She is great and so are you. Keep up the good work and wish you many more successes.

Your fellow collector,
Raj from india

Bravo indeed! You have every reason to call it an amazing success and I agree that a personal note, especially from an older person, makes a success even more special.

The words AMAZING and success are tossed around on these boards all together too regularly for my tastes. Half the time - I'd say the poster was presenting a fairly common, average success - the kind we should all EXPECT to receive. Then of course there are those that call their photos a success when the rest of us with eyes can clearly see their photos were autopenned.

YOUR success though - IS a tremendous success. Nicely done friend! That must have been a wonderfully written letter - and to take photos for her - smart - very smart move. Good for you! Enjoy the success!

This is really nice. In my opinion, receiving a personal note or letter from someone, especially older actors or actresses, means you really wrote a nice genuine sincere letter. She is such a sweet lady. This is more valuable than an autograph on a photo. And it's more valuable when it comes to your favorite celeb :) I received a letter from Ms.Marilyn Horne. That is the only actual letter I have ever received. I was thrilled to death. The other one is a sticky note from Mr.Jack Nicklaus's wife.

I rarely post on this site even though I check it multiple times a day. It has led me to get well over 100 authentic autographs last year alone and so far so good this year. I have been an enourmous fan of Betty White for almost all of my 35 years alive, long before she was "America's Golden Girl/Grandma". I started watching the "Golden Girls" with my beloved grandmother who passed away six years ago and they are so many wonderful memories. The show still cracks me up. I used to joke and tell my grandmother Betty White looked like her because they wore there hair similar back then. Other than my autograph collecting I have the unusual hobby of finding famous gravesites. I have been to those of Judy Garland and James Cagney and many others in the North East. Back in August my fiance' had to do a research trip to Wisconsin. I went with her. I knew that Betty White's husband, famed "Password" host, Allen Ludden was laid to rest in his hometown in WI. I set off one day by myself while my fiance' was doing her research and drove about two hours to this lovley little midwest town. I found the little cemetery and located Mr. Ludden's grave fairly easily (compared to some I have found). I paid my respects and took a few photo's. Upon my return I sent Betty White a lengthy letter telling her of my grandmother, my hobby, my recent engagement and that I hoped to have a marriage as beautiful as hers was and I enclosed a few of the photo's. I told her I hoped they did not upset her, but I thought she may want to see them due to the location being so remote I doubt she gets there often if at all anymore. Yesterday I recieved my two 8x10's I sent as well signed with beautiful handwritten letter from Betty thanking me. I am over the moon with this "success". More so not that it's an autograph from a legend, but more because I was able to make a legend like Betty White happy. I thought this warranted posting . Though short it really shows how very much she loved him and I think it's beautiful.
