I rarely post on this site even though I check it multiple times a day. It has led me to get well over 100 authentic autographs last year alone and so far so good this year. I have been an enourmous fan of Betty White for almost all of my 35 years alive, long before she was "America's Golden Girl/Grandma". I started watching the "Golden Girls" with my beloved grandmother who passed away six years ago and they are so many wonderful memories. The show still cracks me up. I used to joke and tell my grandmother Betty White looked like her because they wore there hair similar back then. Other than my autograph collecting I have the unusual hobby of finding famous gravesites. I have been to those of Judy Garland and James Cagney and many others in the North East. Back in August my fiance' had to do a research trip to Wisconsin. I went with her. I knew that Betty White's husband, famed "Password" host, Allen Ludden was laid to rest in his hometown in WI. I set off one day by myself while my fiance' was doing her research and drove about two hours to this lovley little midwest town. I found the little cemetery and located Mr. Ludden's grave fairly easily (compared to some I have found). I paid my respects and took a few photo's. Upon my return I sent Betty White a lengthy letter telling her of my grandmother, my hobby, my recent engagement and that I hoped to have a marriage as beautiful as hers was and I enclosed a few of the photo's. I told her I hoped they did not upset her, but I thought she may want to see them due to the location being so remote I doubt she gets there often if at all anymore. Yesterday I recieved my two 8x10's I sent as well signed with beautiful handwritten letter from Betty thanking me. I am over the moon with this "success". More so not that it's an autograph from a legend, but more because I was able to make a legend like Betty White happy. I thought this warranted posting . Though short it really shows how very much she loved him and I think it's beautiful.
