Again, here's the thing - "trying to be helpful" doesn't always mean "being helpful". Sometimes, it can be negative and not positive (or even neutral), whether you intend for it to be or not. I'm not trying to be rude, but that's just the simple point I'm making.

Let's put it this way, if you asked "What's the biggest dinosaur that ever lived?" and I replied "The Whale Shark is the biggest fish in the ocean", would you find that helpful? Would you be appreciative of that?

it wouldn't be like that though. they were telling you were you could go or use instead. so the answer would be more like "well to find that out, I would look on the computer" they aren't telling you the exact info you want, but they are telling you what also works

Perhaps. The way I look at it is this - they're both on the same subject (photos for the situation, animals for the scenario), but in both cases, the answers given doesn't answer the question. Ultimately, that's all I'm really looking at. Had I asked for alternatives and/or suggestions, then it would be helpful (and "look on the computer" would be a better comparison than "whale sharks") - but I didn't, I asked a specific question.

Yes I understand! But even if people respond in a different way than you were asking, like musicfan said, it probably would be better to just over look it. But I completely understand what you were looking for. I get why you didn't over look it. It's easy to over look it, if one person does it, but if multiple people do it, it would get kind of annoying.

I would suggest to later on, just start this thread again, to get rid of all of this, lol!

Thing is, I often see irrelevant or wrong answers as well as bad advice being given on this forum. Normally, I'd just post the correct answer or better advice if I had it, and bite my tongue at the other people. Not my question, not my place. But when it is your own question that's garnering these answers, it's annoying. And when there are multiple ones, yes, it's annoying. And having pent-up negativity towards these type of answers only amplifies it.

But musicfan and yourself are right - instead of posting a sarcastic remark, it probably would've been better to point out that I was looking for a specific answer, or just overlook it altogether.
