How many Canadian stamps for SASE?

Unread post by TheORKINMan »

Im in the US sending a TTM request to Canada and wanting to include a SASE. The SASE envelope is just a standard sized envelope, I have a book of Canadian Permenant Stamps, anyone know how many I need to put on the SASE for the return trip?

You will need 2 $1.00 stamps to be safe because it goes by weight and size,or 4 permanent stamps which is equal to $2.28

For a standard sized letter back to the US? That seems like quite a bit.

You made no mention of weight and exact size, but you can always look it up yourself

Yeah but unless its a small envelope with a small 4x6 picture it will probably be more than 50 grams which will make it $2.00 and you will probably want to put in a small piece of cardboard to protect it so i would put on $2.00 worth of postage to be safe because are you really going to take a chance on not enough postage over 1 dollar diff... Ill go ahead and just put 4 just in case, its a very small envelope that's going to hold a small card unless the person im sending it to adds his own things to it.

Assuming the envelope is smaller than 6x9, and the item is something akin to a trading card, $1 should cover it. I can't imagine a card weighing too much.

The return envelope is actually 4" x 6.5" you can see an example of a return envelope + card here:
