Best Autograph Moments of 2008

Hello all! ;)

This year has been a good one for me personnally (and I'm very grateful) - I graduated from high school and I'll go to university next year. It went quite okay with receiving autographs from my favourite celebrities too - some very exciting moments! I got some rare autographs, which I was very surprised about! My best "autograph moments" of '08 include:
- getting a great reply from Ben Barnes, way before he was famous
- my personalised autograph from Paul Bettany (via venue "The Secret Life of Bees"), he's my favourite actor!
- Marion Cotillard personalised autograph via venue "Public Enemies"
- finally my authentic signed & personalised autograph from Zac Efron, he even wrote on my SASE!
- my Dominic Cooper autograph

Great discussion topic

My best autograph moment was definitely meeting Alan Carr! He was just the nicest and funniest person! I got my picture taken with him and he signed my book, leaflet, and he also decided to sign my University book lol It was such a funny and memorable day and it always makes me laugh when I look at the picture of us!

I also got a signed program from Chris Ellison in January, before I got back into collecting. Fort Boyard is one of my favourite shows ever so I had to go and see Chris (who stars as Boyard) when he was in Panto near me! My boyfriend's mate works at the theatre as a security guard so he managed to get Chris to sign his page in a program for me! I was so happy

Another highlight was finally getting a signed picture of Sir Purr! (The mascot for the Carolina Panthers) That's the autograph I've been trying to get the longest. I have been trying since 2004, and finally on Monday I received 2 signed pictures of him and a bookmark! I was very happy

Hopefully 2009 will bring many more great successes!

My best moments were:

-Receiving a personalized Michael Buble cd case
-sending a request to Taylor Swift, Receiving a phone call to meet her, the concert being cancelled but still getting an awesome personalized autograph from her and a chance to meet her in 09.
-Joining fanmail. I had been using fanmail for a few months before I decided to join.

My best moment had to be while I working. I was working a football game, and I had some photos of some of the players. Well one of the players Limas Sweed, saw that I had a photo of him. So he asked me if he could have it, I told him sure. He them comes back to me a few minutes later with his cleats, which he signed. And then he gave them to me.

Wow the story about Limas Sweed is awesome. Were u at a Steelers game or a Texas game?


My story goes as follows:
I live about 10 minutes from Cleveland Browns training camp that begins every July. My favorite Browns player is between QB Brady Quinn cuz i love Notre Dame or KR/WR Joshua Cribbs. Well anyways, when Cribbs was a rookie he was basically a nobody and one day when the team was done w/ practice he threw me his sweatband. This past summer i went to training camp and got the sweatband signed by Josh Cribbs and the best part was, he said that he he remembered me from his rookie year. Now Cribbbs is a big star in the NFL!

It's tough to choose what my best autograph moment of the year is! But after much deliberation , I'd say getting a personalized reply from Pete Doherty, Mik Whitnall and Adam Ficek of one of my favourite bands ( Babyshambles ), has meant a lot to me. Also, my personalized authentic from the best bassist ever, Paul Simonon from The Clash.
