I am SO excited. Jim is my all-time favorite player :) Sent this card to him at the White Sox spring training facility and received it back in 12 days. Requested personalization, but just glad to get the card back!

"On July 2, 2013, Thome joined the White Sox organization as special assistant to the general manager.[115] In the future, Thome aspires to be a manager, an aspiration that White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf wholeheartedly supports; Reinsdorf commented, "He can be a batting coach. He'd be a great batting coach, but someday he'll be a manager."[116] In March 2014, Thome clarified that he is not officially retired; while he "loves" his front office job with the White Sox, he would "have to take" a call about him playing again.[117] However, on August 2, 2014, he signed a one day contract with the Cleveland Indians to retire officially as a member of the team.[118]"

I got him IP on a ball a few years back during a MLB preseason exhibition of the Astros vs White Sox in OKC.
