Wow! That's so awesome! Where do you live? I am asking because I seem to be in a bit of a predicament. I live in the United States, and I made a portrait of him that I would like for him to have. I went through the trouble of purchasing two prints and a frame so that he could keep the framed one, then sign and return the other unframed print. When I just went to the mailroom to send it via UPS, I was told that the return package I have for the unframed print will cost me $57 alone. Let's now take into account that the return package is going to be sealed inside another package, along with the framed print, and we're talking over $100 for me to send this and HOPE that I get it back signed, if at all. I asked what if we put the unframed print in a sturdy envelope as opposed to a cylindrical tube, and they said it would cost the same. Surely, people aren't paying this type of money normally.

Do you, or anybody, have any ideas / tips as to how I can pull this off without having to spend so much money on shipping? I would love to send this to him. I live 25 minutes outside of Manhattan and have debated going to his NYC restaurant to drop it off, but I want to make sure he gets it. :(

Any help would be appreciated! :)

I live in the USA too. His company usually pays the postage back with their own envelope (His assistant returned my $2 and SAE I sent just in case), but if your print is too big for his companies envelope I can only suggest that you do what you said and send something to return it in self addressed and money for return. You could always call his company and try to get the person who replied to my letter or whoever you can get to (They have removed "general enquiry" from the site contact options). I believe that as long as it does not get lost in shipping that he will sign it for you. I always use USPS since I just send 9x12 envelopes and UPS would cost more for those, even more internationally. Have you checked USPS prices or even DHL? Also, I attached a post-it note on the one photo asking him to personalize it so if you want that I would suggest doing that.

Hope that helps.
