Us to uk postage

Hey guys, I wanna start posting to the US to try and get autographs but I've been told you can't use uk stamps on the return envelope and it's hard to get us stamps over here, just wondering to those from the uk that have sent over to the states and had letters returned what do you guys do about this? Thank you
