Same exact way. I put my signed items in protective Acid/PVC Free holders and put them back in the envelope after I've scanned them in. So they all stay together in the file folder system. {up} I don't have room or space on the walls to matte and frame over several hundred photos :lol:

After nearly 40 years in the hobby I can't imagine how much room my collection would take if I saved the envelopes. I have a room dedicated to collecting and a closet full of binders (in alphabetical order) Plus numerous matted and framed on my walls. When I receive a success I immediately log, scan, post and file the success. Once that is completed, I remove the stamps from the envelope (my church sends them to Germany) and put them in recycling.

In an unrelated matter: It had to happen sooner or later, but my steak of 47 straight weeks of receiving at least 10 success ended. I only received 9 this week through Thursday and needed one either yesterday or today. I didn't get any thing yesterday and again my trip to the mailbox was fruitless today leaving my total for the year at 269. I am still about 80 ahead of last year but I don't like seeing my streak end.
I have only one explanation for my failure and that is I have not been sending as many sports cards. In April I sent nearly 30 non-sports (CD's, DVD's, 8x10 photos & 45 record sleeves. They generally take longer to return (and more stamps) than sports cards and since I kept within my stamp budget, I was not able to send as many sports cards.
I expect that since my sending more non-sports has continued into May I may not be able to start another streak right away. My two choices appear to be increase my stamp budget or send a higher percentage of sports cards. With me being me I am likely to increase the stamp budget and just send more of everything.
I have been asked many times about trading / selling some of my autographs. I am sorry but my collection is not and will not be for sale.

REALLY strange if you then lick the envelope flap, pretending you're kissing the star! :roll:

According to The Big Bang Theory's Sheldon, all you need a "viable ovum and you can clone" your celeb! :D

Actually I highly doubt most of them lick the envelopes themselves. more than likely they use one of those sponge type things and moisten the flap. Because people could really do somebody harm if they put something on the flap and the celeb licked it. :(

Scary thought. These are dangerouos days we live in and none of us can be too careful. If nothing more than papercuts on the tounge or the thought of where any envelope might've been. Makes me feel kinda dirty!

I never lick envelopes. I always use a seal in the middle and possibly a little bit of tape on both sides.

Ewww!! I do not lick the flap pretending to kiss them. Nasty. What I did think about was the cloning factor. And about lacing the envelope with something, that's morbid. That never occured to me. Been watching too many crime shows eh? But I'll still keep the envelopes and love it when they write their return address on it (the writing looks like the dedication) or add stickers or additional writing to it. ;-) For example (the additional writing), in my return envelope I got from classic actor Paul Picerni I drew a heart. And inside the heart He wrote "With Love". That's awesome!! :mrgreen:

HAHA! Me too! I haven't licked an envelope in ages. I find too if I tape mine shut the Celebrity does the same thing. It's a good thing too, as sometimes I've had celebs who moisten the flap and part of it ended up sticking to my photos. :? So taping them shut is the better way to go in my opinion. {up}
