Yes, I think Dick Van Dyke has staff that comes to his home. Almost all Hollywood celebrities do. Trust me, Dick Van Dyke is not walking down to his mailbox to get his mail. It's funny how some people think they have an "in" to a celebrity because they have a home address, when that's the worst route in most cases.

This is what a real Dick Van Dyke autograph looks like:

If you're talking to me you should go back and take another look. The sample that I posted and the ip above look nothing like the "success" claimed in this thread. DVD's real auto is very hurried and sloppy compared to the feminine-looking "successes" posted here.

Yeah i'm talking to you  all three of those examples don't match or they do have some similarities. so i ceratinaly wouldn't take ur word for it. i received my ttm auto's about 2 years ago and they were diff then what others were receiving and they look more like what u think is real. so he only signs here and there?? not at all?? or always?? and what the H%#* happened to all the threads on this topic?/

I recently met a classic rock star who signed five signatures for my friend and I, and not one of those looked as like one another as any of the examples above from DVD do to each other.

I believe that they are all genuine because I don't see otherwise why Mike Mendyke from Dick's band would have taken the trouble to sign up and come on here (in a thread that has sadly disappeared, but is still cached on Google) to say

"Folks, I can attest that Dick does not use a secretary. When we get together to rehearse at his place his dining room table always has a stack of the latest batch of requests, and he's always quick to point out to us some of the wonderful treasures people send him to be signed. I tried to upload pictures of my signed copy of our CD "Put on a Happy Face" and the score for our short-lived musical production "Step in Time" but this forum software wouldn't let me...

In one of the pix, Dick puts god bless (rayzer), those match up to the IP, the God Bless and TTM match to the regular TTM! They match up exactly!

BTW, Lets be calm and educated. This is just a calm conversation! Lets have no arguments or cursing! We are all adults

I have never thought for a minute that the Dick van dykes are real. His book signing in Hollywood is today and unfortunately I couldn't get off from work to go to it. :(

If you could find the old topics you'd see that DVD is on the List of Celebrities Believed To be Secretarial. As my friend Charlie says - WINNING!

In a spirit of purely friendly inquiry...

viewtopic.php?f=146&t=103047

There's the thread, not lost, and indeed autoland thinks the inscriptions are secretarial.

Now, please provide us with some evidence that somebody who plays with Dick Van Dyke in his band and knows what his signature looks like is less of an authority than autoland, or anyone else who doesn't know the guy. I would also have thought that isitreal.com, for all that people on here disagree with their opinions, would at least have him down as suspected to send secretarials if this was commonly believed.

I am not of the "Doris Day/John Travolta are genuine" brigade, and would rather know the truth, but there isn't any evidence that I've been able to find, and having found my way around the internet to summon up supposedly lost threads from the grave (see post above) then I would expect to be able to find some somewhere on Google.
