I couldn't go to the opening of the exhibition and missed the book signing the morning after. But the next night Tim Burton was having a sold out Master Class (again I missed out on tix) and they were broadcasting it outside the event on a giant screen due to demand.
Well I decided to wait inside ACMI in the hopes of spotting Tim on his way in to the class. I had been waiting for an hour and a half with just 3 other girls who had decided to do the same. There were hundreds outside waiting for the class to start on the screen and everyone who had tickets had gone into the theater. As the show was due to start at 6:00pm, and it was 6:15pm, and there was only 4 of us inside waiting, I thought maybe he had just gone in another entrance, so I was giving up and going to go outside to watch. As I started to walk across the foyer I see 4 body guards and Margret Pomeranz and Tim Burton come strolling out. I was so shocked by my luck I just stood there as they went past. I managed to mutter a "hi". Margret said "Hi" back. Regaining my senses I saw them stop to sign an autograph for one of the 3 girls who had also been waiting. So I quickly ran back and asked Tim if he would mind me taking a photo with him. He answered "errr sure...just quickly though as I don't want to be late for the funeral" (his interview class! lol!) . So I hopped next to him to take the photo. Then his security moved him on and I called out "Thank you so much!". I am terrible at taking photos of myself with others in shot too, so I am lucky I got him and most of my face in as well (lol) He also must have leaned in to me to make sure it would be okay. As I am so short though it still looks like a problem. Plus creepy looking security guard in the background. ROFL! But I am just so over the moon! I adore his work and and such a huge fan, it just made my year! I also normally have terrible luck with these things, so I just was on cloud 9 ...and still am!
