I don't know enough about Japanese culture to know how popular Sentai is over there.. but the series has been going for at least 30 years. Power Rangers only lasted about half as long as that.

Though it's possible that Power Rangers at it's very height might've been more popular than Sentai at it's height. I remember MMPR was huge here when I was a kid.. but then again, everything seems huge when you're a kid.

Sentai is a Japanese institution whereas Power Rangers were merely a fad in the West.

i know...this type of power rangers (mighty morphin) was bigger over here than in japan...they had more years of it....but MMPR was bigger here..

Well they didn't have Power Rangers did they? Power Rangers was just Sentai re-cut with American actors?

Funnily enough we are the same age and I was also obsessed with Power Rangers. I only just threw out my old figures the other week, had I known I could have saved them for you!

It's a long story. It originated as a Japanese show called Sentai or Super Sentai which basically translates as task force. Haim Saban had traveled there and saw Sentai for himself and he thought it would make a good American show. The original plan was to order 40 episodes for the first season and see what happens. That's why some things were odd afterwards and a small cast change was made.

and the only way i would of bought them off of you were if they were still in the boxews UN-OPENED..lol. cause i love to display them..

No i dont wanna open them..it lessens the VALUE of them... and what does MOC mean? i collect alot of things like autographs and dolls and MPR things and all my things are in boxes except my signed photos that r in my binders...lol
