Erin Moran, Anson Williams and Henry Winkler success

Unread post by MW1221 »

In the beginning I couldn't stop smiling, at the end, you couldn't get me to smile. That's how bad this was.

I won tickets to a private meet and greet through a radio station. We showed up at about 4pm, and the Will Call guy couldn't find our tickets. They called in the manager, and he let us in. We went back to Will Call at about 5:30, and the manager found our tickets. The meet and greet was supposed to start at 6:30. We went down to the area we were supposed meet the person handling the meet and greet at about 6:15ish. Well, we met this lady and we waited and waited for Erin, Anson, and Henry to show up. They came about 30 minutes late, and went straight upstairs were they were signing from 7-9. So the security guard took the group that won the private meet and greet upstairs, and we jumped the line. We went and stood up on a stage, and Erin, Anson, and Henry walked over to us and shook our hands and stuff. I was beaming. We took a few pictures together, etc. The one I really wanted to meet was Henry Winkler (have my picture w/ him, get a thumbs up, maybe an Ayyy). Well, when it came time for me to have my picture taken w/ Henry, they kicked us off the stage so the other people could go. I shook his hand twice, and that was it. As we were getting off the stage, they handed us pre-signed pictures. Note: The signatures were authentic, you just couldn't pick the picture or get a personalization. And I had brought my friend on the second ticket, who is also an autograph collector. Well, apparently they would only give out the autographs one per pair. So we had to talk to alot of people, just to get him an autograph. And they had quite a few pictures they were signing, etc. I would have loved to pick the picture. But we didn't get to. We didn't even get to talk to them for more than 30 seconds.

Being the contest winner, we were supposed to get the VIP treatment. The non-winners in the line got a better deal than we did. I would've been better off if I didn't win that contest.

At least I met them, I guess. Pictures will come soon.

Here's a picture of the autograph (Erin's is kinda hard to see, it's in the middle of the bottom row):

It's not the fault of the radio station. There was a lot of "miscommunication". It was below zero degrees outside, so security was waiting inside for their van to show up. The van driver didn't see security, since they were inside and dropped at a different entrance. From that entrance, someone took them to their table, because they were unaware of the meet and greet.

At that point, it's the fault of the show promoter who didn't take them back downstairs to us.
