A very, very unexpected success!! Over two years ago, in November 2018, I sent a letter and a SASE to:

I never thought that I would get a response like this, because I didn't send my own photo, and was inexperienced with sending fan mail to people at the time. However, in January 2019, I tried him again, and received this (http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=1393418) five months later.
He is also known for writing personal messages on the backs of photos, as seen in my post, linked above. I think that he didn't write a message this time, because he probably recognised my letter from 2019 - he doesn't seem to get that much fan mail. So happy, and he even sent his own photo!
