Have you ever not received your autograph request back?

I assume most of you sent a lot of requests but has it ever happen to you that your envelope with photos etc. hasn't returned to you?
I would like to send my album booklet to one of the artists but I'm scared III will never get it back. I'd rather it returned to me unsigned than nott returned at all
