Sister Helen Prejean is a Catholic nun who is known as a leading advocate for the abolition of the death penalty. She serves as a spiritual advisor to many death row inmates and she was the subject of the 1995 movie Dead Man Walking which won Susan Sarandon a Best Actress Academy Award for portraying her.

She sent me a signed book plate in 8 days.
