Ok, here we go. I sent Mr. Palmer a letter, Sports Illustrated, blue Sharpie, SASE on 4/4/15(In hopes it would be on top of the pile, for when Mr. Palmer showed up at the Masters, 4/7- 4/8), addressed to: The Masters Men's Locker Room, 2604 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30904. SASE returned 6/30/15 with SI signed in black. Also included in the SASE was a light green flyer from Arnold Palmer Enterprises, from P.O. Box 52, Youngstown, PA 15696-0052. Stamps were not cancelled on the SASE, so not sure where it was posted from. It reads:
This is in response to your request for Arnold Palmer's signature on the photographs/miscellaneous items that you enclosed.
Because of the volume of autograph requests is to the point that is has become virtually impossible for Mr. Palmer to accommodate all of them, we have decided that we should give priority to all individual requests. Therefore, we are now returning photograph/items submitted in quantity and/or in repeated mailings from the same source.
As for the autograph... at first glace, it looks somewhat the same as all Arnold Palmer autos. Upon further review(googled A.P. autograph images). The auto I received, is different from ALL, the d, is the smallest letter of both names. The a in Palmer, is right under the P, but touches the P. The a, could also be mistaken for an o, the way it goes into the l. The l in Palmer, is to the right of the P, almost half way up the P, but is not through, or touching the P, missing by not quite a 1/4 inch. Lastly, the space between the d and the P is oooooh so close to touching, don't think a piece of paper would fit between the letters. Sorry no photo.
