I mailed Paul Tuerpe, the sheriff in the Goonies a letter, marker, SASE and the DVD cover of The Goonies on 2-25-2015. I received it back on 3-9-2015. I used the address

I am trying to get the entire cast of The Goonies to sign copies of The Goonies, then I plan on framing them all for my brother for Christmas. Paul also sent a posted note addressed to me, saying that he would call my brother on Christmas Day if I sent him the number. A truly classy guy.

That is a fun project, but would a black or blue marker show up better?? Maybe you can see the autograph better in person than what it appears in the photos.. Wishing you luck in your hunt for the Goonies cast..

When I decided to accomplish this I had never tried to obtain autographs in through the mail. I thought that a silver marker would show up great on the dark cover. But now that I have recieved some back, they don't look so great. I know that my brother will love it, no matter the color. But yes, black or blue would have shown up so much better. I got one back from Richard Donner that was signed in black and it looked fantastic. You live and you learn I guess. Since I started collecting them for him, I have sent out quite a few for myself. This is an addicting hobby for sure.
