Actually it's not common for members of the british royal family to send out autopens. Your either going to get a letter from a secretary or a lady in waiting or in very rare cases, get a real thing.Spookii wrote:*HerselfAutographDiva wrote:Says the person that did not get this autograph himself...lol ;)Spookii wrote:You are highly lucky, it's against protocol for any member of the British royal family to sign autographs.
And if you do research you would easily know this information. It's highly uncommon for the British royal family to sign anything, usually they send formal letters with a AP signature and an unsigned pic, or you get something (usually a formal letter) from their secretary. Look through the feedbacks.
But it isn't totally unheard of to get an autograph from them, I remember seeing a thread about how someone gotten Camilla Duchess of Cornwall's signature awhile back.
Kayla you must be be on your period or Menstruation are you? Lol. I've noticed that around the 3rd week of every month that you always get angry easily and act funny and argumentative over little things Lol.vivalakayla wrote:Yeah i dont know why either. She needs to practice what she preaches!!Spookii wrote: I don't even know why that person was being such a jerk.![]()
I just said that the original poster was extremely lucky for getting a success like this since it's so rare to ever get anything besides formal letters, AP, and secretarial stuff from British royals...
That's exactly it.Jammydodger wrote:Kayla you must be be on your period or Menstruation are you? Lol. Firstly she is still extremely close with her ex husband Prince Andrew and secondly anything addressed to the Duchess of York that is sent to Buckingham Palace is forwarded on to her offices. My letter from the Duchess came from her office at Royal Lodge.cjhanson wrote:I don't understand why her address would be Buckingham Palace when she hasn't been associated with the Royal family for many years.
That is very true. I contacted Ms. York around 2007 or 2008 via her Web site and received a beautiful matted color photograph that she autographed and personalized to me. It's one of my favorites in my collection because I did not expect to get such a wonderful reply. She was very kind to have it packaged so nicely in a huge padded envelope. I will post a pic of the autograph if anyone wishes to see it.Markd wrote:While it is protocol for actual members of the royal family to not sign autographs, those who marry into the Royal family often still do. For example, Sarah has been a great signer both through the mail and in person for years, Princess Diana was also known for being very willing to sign autographs.
