I really want to send to her as well. What kind of stamps did you put on the envelope? I've seen packs of 'Worldwide' stamps which are purple which come with 'by air mail' stamps too. Do you think one of each of these is correct as I've never sent abroad before lol.
Does she always pay return postage?
Take your request to the post office; they will weigh it for you and tell you how much it will cost. They will sort it out for you. My request cost me £4.50 to send to Amanda
As for Amanda paying return, I've seen a lot successes where she does, BUT I wouldn't just assume she will. If you can, try and get $2 and send that as a donation, or if not, explain in your letter that it's your first time sending to America so you don't know how to get return.
