Re: Tippi Hedren-Not signed
There are SO many things wrong with this request that is sickens me. First, a donation is required and well know. Not even much of one at that! Next, could you not have at least taken the time to hand writ her a letter. THEN you have the nerve to not send return postage!? This is such a classic example of why so many celebrities are turned off by autoograph collectors now days. You have single handedly made it more difficult to collect authentic signatures and you gained NOTHING! Please have a little more class in future attempts.

Your comment of selling making a "decent living" is quite clearly judgmental.
James, I would like to state here and now in a public forum that your face offends me, each and every time I see it. Just so you know.
I agree you have a total nerve to post your photos with celebrities on here, it's disgraceful.
Of course, it's really easy to hide behind usernames and be a keyboard warrior. At least no one can accuse you of that.

Re: Tippi Hedren-Not signed
You asked for an example, it was provided. If she accepted $5 as a donation instead of the usual $20+ then it just goes to show she doesn't always charge that for autographs, or indeed charge at all, regardless of what is written in the letter.jamiso wrote:She must have took your $5 as a donation instead of a fee to cover postage. I'm guessing your letter aided her decision to sign for you as well.trevor1066 wrote:
YOUR WRONG!!!!!"
I personally sent her a 5 dollars for postage and a 2 page letter with 3 photos and i recieved them all 3 back signed a month ago.

No donation or stamp included? I would have tossed your photo. There are enough posts that show that most of the time successes are the result of a donation. There probably are exceptions, but help out her foundation.

luckyas13canbe - I can't understand why someone who puts so much effort supporting a good cause always comes to this forum and causes conflict. Not that it means you have to be a saint or anything, it's just surprising.

Re: Tippi Hedren-Not signed
I know a donation is required, but I see some success with no donation here once so I just said "let's give it a try' (as far as I know you're not the one who's paying my stamps!) Of course I wroter her a letter... And the problem of postage is that it's very hard here in France to find American Stamps! One year now that I collect autograph and this is the very first that I got this problem...AutographDiva wrote:There are SO many things wrong with this request that is sickens me. You can view it how you like chief, I just tend to get frustrated with those who pull the forum down, as you know I (like a few members on here) have been around this forum for a long time and it's frustrating to see it so far downhill from what it was. It still could be a brilliant site, if members actually self regulated it where Admin doesn't bother. Take this thread for example, I pointed out a basic fact and someone took the huff and indeed accused me of being a layabout who lives off other people. Surprisingly I will respond to that sort of thing. Thanks for your kind words regarding my fundraisingWillyWonka11 wrote:luckyas13canbe - I can't understand why someone who puts so much effort supporting a good cause always comes to this forum and causes conflict. Hey, just so you know, there's a couple of ways around that...SandraBonnie wrote:I know a donation is required, but I see some success with no donation here once so I just said "let's give it a try' (as far as I know you're not the one who's paying my stamps!) ... include US dollars (a couple of $1 bills depending on weights etc)
... eBay has loads of US stamps, at a slight premium but still they are there.

Re: Tippi Hedren-Not signed
Hey, no worries, it's worth it in the long run, even if it costs a shade more as it both increases your chances of a success (and thus reduces waste of requests) and also ensures you're being polite to the person you're writing toSandraBonnie wrote:I'll try to have american stamps, thanks

Good luck!
