As was James from the start, only to be met with abuse from morons.

You are obviously friends with James, possibly in person, so you might be bias. It's obvious James took offense that what he said was questioned, and then took to petty attacks on grammar and sarcastic comments.
Such as calling the bought Warick Davis signature authentic.

This was not a mature response of a moderator... and I should know. I am the moderator of an Architectural forum with 1,003,638 registrations (at the time of writing). A job so big it appears on my C.V.

Not that it's a contest of course, but I do know what good moderation is. If someone questions you, don't take offense and don't take it personally. I'm not saying James is a bad moderator (I don't know him), but on this occasion I think he reacted incorrectly.

None of our minds are going to be changed, so I suggest a line is drawn under all of this.

Notice how I typed all that out without resorting to name calling? {up}

blackhawks... if you're referring to myself and James, none of it is trolling, we've both been members of this forum since days when it was actually a good forum, and we get very frustrated with people running around saying "check this autograph I got which is so cool" when it's fake/sec/something they did themselves and then other forum members waste time/effort/money in sending a request to get the same worthless piece of trash. We get even more frustrated when the OP then decides to act like a fool, and then other posters jump in with the eternal "there's no need to say if it's fake" comment.

Let's make this clear again... signatures NOT done by the celebrity in question are NOT real. As such if they are in a feedback forum they are a FAILURE. If a member or a moderator sees one that falls into this category, they are more than within their rights to point this out. If you don't like it, as James says, don't post on this forum.

Chill dude lol, I'm not bashing you. I definitely agree with you two

Blackhawks.. no problemo ;) it's possible it get riled by other people who post, but as I am now not commenting on anything they say i couldn't possibly comment ;) sometimes we wonder why we bother to point out when signatures are fake, when it's met with such moronic abuse from all corners so instead i'll say this...

anyone who wants a signed Mo Farah photo send me a PM, i'll make sure you have one in your hands shortly which is as authentic as the ones being sent out :D :D

Few pointers..
- at any point have I resorted to name calling?
- I did not take offence at being questioned, I took offence at being told I should be banned from the forum for making a comment on authenticity.
- Good for you if you moderate on a large forum, I hope you find it rewarding. Pleased about your CV, do you want to hear some of mine?
- A bad moderator would let someone think they had an authentic autograph when they know, 99.9%, that it's not authentic.
- This isn't a dig, at all, but as someone with 7 years in this hobby, and over 6000 autographs, I think I know what I'm talking about, compared to your 9 autographs.

And there we have it summed up in a nutshell, well done sir. Sadly it seems to many people are happy with a squiggle that they believe is real because it's on a picture of the person, and pointing out the inconsistencies is met with abuse. Oh and actually, the name calling dig was probably at me, and to be fair I did cross the line by suggesting the poster could be Daniel Waller... that's a serious insult, and not one to be used lightly.

As Danny Messer would say.... BOOM!

PS... please be aware there could be some bias in my posts, it happens when you know you're right!

You seem to have it in your heard I'm upset because you called the Mo signatures fake, I don't care about that.

I too think the Mo sigs are not authentic, I don't mind that you told those 2 people they are not real. It was your childish reaction afterwards which I had the problem with. The sarcastic, 'This is authentic' reply in this thread for example.

FYI I have a small collection because I only started collecting autographs 2 weeks ago... focusing on team GB. The 9 I do have were chance meetings.
I'm not the type of guy who you will see traveling the country with a file of clippings and waiting around for hours to get someones name on a bit of paper.
So a collection of 60,000 autographs wouldn't impress me.
