Re: Rey stuff...

It's cool and all that you interviewed him.

However, as a traditional-media journalist myself, I ponder what the limit is on asking for signed stuff after an interview. Getting one item or two is fine in my opinion.

Getting a wagon load borders on taking advantage of the situation.

I've had a lot of high profile athletes/coaches at my disposal and usually if I get something signed when I'm at work, it's only an item or two.

You have a point. However, Rey COULD have said no.

I've managed to interviewed him and be featured on local TV here (Studio 23) who carries weekly WWE Programs. (my 6th television interview when it comes to WWE specials here in Manila)

Here's the Video: (Filipino, Tagalog speaking parts)

Actually i don't work w/ the media dude. When WWE comes here in manila. Media/TV People will contact me w/ regards whatever event that is.

Also know personally rey mysterio himself (the man behind the mask of course) & her wife angie since mid 2009. Let's say whenever he comes or drop by to the philippines he sure to let me know also. Same goes w/ john morrison & melina, known them personally also since they're good neighbors w/ older brother who resides in california (manhattan beach to be exact).

Here are my personal pics w/ rey mysterio (no mask etc. along w/ my family)

You were interviewing him for a TV station correct? If so, it's sad that they don't have anchors or actual newscasters that can do so and they rely on fans to do their jobs.

I stand by my statement that taking that volume of stuff to where a media taping is taking place and one is the interviewer is a conflict of interest.

I for once am with Cubs on this I do think you took it to the limit and did go over it also if you friends with him why do it??? I don't see him being the type that wants his friends asking for autos everytime he sees them yet being the type to want to hang out with his friends and get away from the fans asking for autos. I just don't see how someone can ask for that may autos after an interview like that I would have only done 2 or 3 tops.

I know I've started crap on this thread and a lot of you don't like me. But, I agree with Cubsfan on the autograph stuff. 1. If you are media, and it is your job to interview athletes movie stars whomever, keep it professional. I won't lie I would try to get one autograph, that's it. 2. And I also agree with Jeff Hardy picture guy, If he is indeed your friend, why ask for his autograph every time you see him? I started writing letters in Afghanistan to pass the time, and started receiving a bunch of autographs. A particular QB told me if I was ever in his area to contact him and we'd go out for beers. I went to Dallas on spring break to visit my best friend, and I twittered the QB, he gave me his number, we hung out, no autographs. I didn't want any, personally I thought it was enough that he took my buddy and I out for beers, that experience and memory will be worth more to me than any autograph. I was just drinking beers with one of my favorite QB's as a kid like we were pals, it was amazing. He did ask me how I got his address though, I told him about the site and he said he likes reading fan mail so yeah, it was a little embarrassing, but he didn't seem to mind.

You and I don't see eye-to-eye very much, but we do here.

I've had the winningest coach in NCAA basketball history (Pat Summitt) at my disposal for interviews at a few events.

I got a photo-op signed from when I was first starting out and one thing for my wife.

And I did it in a manner where the whole world couldn't see it and I didn't look like I was just a fan with a recorder.
