Just noticed this thread, Ive been collecting Harry Potter autos for a few months now, just got Hazel Douglas' autograph today
Good to see so many Harry fans!

I've only just started to collect HP autographs, and so far I've received:

Dame Maggie Smith (unpersonalised) - Professor McGonagall,
Sir Michael Gambon - (personalised) - Professor Dumbledore,
Mark Williams (unpersonalised) - Arthur Weasley,
Shirley Henderson (personalised & letter) - Moaning Myrtle,
John Hurt (unpersonalised) - Mr Ollivander,

Help! (Alan Rickman)

Hi guys I’m new to this requesting autograph in the mail thing, and I’m not sure if here’s the right place to post but here goes…
So I’m an Alan Rickman fan and I really would like an autograph from him but I’m not sure on how to go about doing it. Here are some of my questions (sorry if I sound noobish).

1. When I send Mr. Rickman his picture to be autographed, should it be a photograph, poster, or simply a print out? What did you guys send him? And what should the size of the picture be?

2. Do you guys think he’s in UK now, or still in the US? Because I want to be sure he receives it and I don’t want it to get sent back unsuccessful.

3. Lastly, regarding IRCs. Considering I live in Asia, how many of these should I include in the envelope?

last time i heard he was still in the US but that was like a week or 2 ago..

Thanks so much for the reply. Which do you think is a better bet though, US or UK? Also, if I request an autographed picture of him, would he sign it to my name?

I'd wait a few weeks then send to the UK. And yes he almost always personalizes it to.you
