Well done! I was a huge fan of Ryan when he played on the Cubs. I didn't think he would respond TTM, I might have to give it a try one day. Congrats!

99% of the time, you won't get your item signed but they'll send you a signed Post Card. I'm assuming he signs hundreds of these before the season and thats what the team sends out for his TTM request.

I sent a jersey back in Feb 2013 to his home address with $25 donation (I think that was the amount). Got it back signed 283 days later. I took a risk with this and fortunately it paid off. I have seen items not come back...and more often than not, the item comes back but not signed. Almost everything sent c/o the team will come back with pre-signed photo.

I'd say if the card isn't that expensive, may be worth sending...but you'll probably get it back unsigned with a pre-signed photo.
