US stamps shouldn't work from the UK, but the postal workers are honestly probably just being understanding. Its a big risk to put US stamps on a return envelope from another country as they're not valid.

Which address did you use please? I'm trying to decipher if it's anUK or USA address, as the global forever stamps are confusing. I thought mail sent from the UK could only be sent with UK stamps
