Hello

I have admired Maureen O'Hara as an actress and as a person, and really enjoyed her autobiography. I am lucky enough as many here have mentioned lucky to have received photos back 3-4 times over the years.

She has been a great signed, a genuine signed and very loyal to her fans.

I hope now she enjoys more free time.

Maureen O'Hara Thanks for the films.

kind regards

Sean

Thanks for running her website.

Believe me, there were many MANY feedbacks for Ms. O'Hara before then. When someone is in the age bracket that Ms. O'Hara is, I think it's really unfair to compare her to other signers and say things like, "well so and so still signs." Ms. O'Hara is more than due an autograph-free life, at this point.

exactly......well said.

I got her auto twice this year for free both times so she did not even stick to the donation/charging policy they announced & I certainly could not afford what she was charging. Glad to have her for my collection & only wrote twice as the second time I had finally been able to get hold of some bookplates & wanted one for her book.

Her choice but Joan Fontaine is of around the same age & she still answers & signs & there is a ton of feedback on here for her, I would say more than for Maureen. I can't imagine Maureen gets that much mail as there would be a few generations who would not even know who she is.

Shame for those who do want her, but its her choice to decide not to sign anymore so good luck to her in her old age!

I M P O R T A N T N O T I C E:

I received a call from Carolyn Murphy, Maureen O'Hara's assistant in Ireland this morning. They will now curtail completely any autograph requests by mail - even those under the most recent "donation in exchange for a photograph" policy. They simply do not have the staff to process it all (even with donations). The only autographs that can be obtained subsequent to this date will be if a fan is in Ireland when she is making an appearance (which will now be considerably lessened due to her age) and it is very taxing on Ms. O'Hara.

As of today, 9-5-2011, autographs of Ms. O'Hara will no longer be available by mail - even those in exchange for donations. I heard from staff in Ireland today and they regretfully inform that they are no longer able to provide this service; one major reason being that it has become very taxing for Ms. O'Hara at this time in her life. If you have any questions please email me at momagazine@gmail.com

You can validate my credentials by going to Maureen's official site (which I have designed and edited since 1994. Fans should be discouraged from "still trying" to get an autograph despite the new rules and be the "exception." Fans can feel free to submit any questions to me at momagazine@gmail.com

Ms. O'Hara has made herself available for autographs throughout her sixty-plus year movie career and for many events throughout those years. Now it's time to kick back and enjoy her legacy of film through this and subsequent generations.
