I've seen a success as recent as 12/7/12...he's almost a guaranteed signature. I'd try again.

I just sent it to the Univ. of Pittsburgh. He is the mens basketball radio announcer. It was his birthday on November 3. The same as my father who passed away 2 weeks ago. :'( I got the autograph back 10 days later. I posted the envelope and picture. I hope that helps.
