that forgery is horrible. i dont see how anyone would fall for that. angelino marino signed AND numbered his lithos. that isnt even numbered. so that tells me it came after the 900 printed originally. where would you find that book? now days. i would really like a copy.

OOPS

Why are you even still posting on this? It is old news, you have graphs that are fake... it's time to move on! Chalk this up as a lesson learned.

Yes the unsigned lithos are just fine... so you can keep and frame them, put them on your fridge... whatever floats your boat! They are probably more valuable now that they are embossed with Front Page Art logo! One of the infamous companies busted by FBI in "Operation Bullpen"!

Instead of acting like a baby about the whole thing and being mad at us... you should be thanking us for educating you a little bit about the hobby of collecting autographs.

I don't think you know how to read or type very well.

Go back and read my post... I said and I quote... "You'll probably see some of your family friends listed." I could care less about your family... and I didn't say anything bad about them. What my post means... is that you will find friends of your family on that FBI list... meaning the fraud Marino Family!

I've made just over 500 posts! Trust me I have praised many members here on their collection and pick ups! True I do call people out on their fake graphs often... but thats only because so many uneducated members here think EVERY autograph they get back TTM is real! Kinda like yourself! Most of the stuff I post on is sports related. Which can be hard to find on a forum dominated by worthless Disney and Twilight autographs. I hope you enjoy looking through and reading every one of them!

When did I ever ask for Unitas TTM address? I was making fun of the idiot who did!

I really don't think this autograph thing is a good hobby for you. You should maybe try something a little easier for you to understand, something that is a little less stressful for you... maybe coloring books is more your speed!

back in early 90s i sold sportcards. not memorabilia thank goodness. i was duped then by what is now apparently commonplace. Iguess that was stupid. I feel bad about it but if you dont think like a crook its easier to believe i guess. As for collecting picture from stars on here i was thinking getting something back was a success. And by the philosophy you guys are using i guess thats wrong too. Ill use one ive got recently as example LORRETTA LYNN. Its printed in the picture not signed like with a sharpie. To me it was a sucess where as to the standards you veterans use its a fail. I would rather have got that than say 3 of the first 5 i sent its been 4and 5 months with no respnse at all and non expected. So just to see if i understand recieving picture back like Loretta isnt a success? Im still glad i got it anyway. Its a signed picture from lLorettas home address but i cant count it as real? I guess you vets have a whole different standard than someone who just hopes to get a signed picture back from who you sent it to. This just isnt for me. All ive learned is success isnt success unless it meets someone elses standards. Congrats coach i was wrong 20 years ago. Wish i hadnt found all that out. But i guess its different selling sportscards than buying memorabilia. ill post some of the autographs i get back but even this hobby has lost its appeal. To all new collectors remember success isnt success even when you get what you ask for even if it is free. Thats all i meant by real. Even thats not real what a disappointment.

What people have to learn, is that COAs are absolutely worthless, you can print one out right now at home. Forgers will lie and tell you everything in the world to get you to buy. Pictures of celebs signing mean nothing.
Here is a very interesting example most should know about, has anyone out their ever heard of a man named Jerry Gladstone of American Royal Arts?
This man was recently exposed and was sued over being a forger. What he was doing was fairly clever. He was selling primarily signed guitars, and with each example he would have pictures of that celebrity signing the guitar. Well, the truth was, that he was photoshopping real photos and putting guitars in front of the celebrity. Eventually someone who was their at one of these signings recognized one of these pictures and realized that their was no guitar even close to the celeb, and that the celeb was actually signing a picture. Gladstone had photoshopped the guitar into the hands of the celeb. And it looked **** near perfect. AFter that, the walls came crushing down and it was found that every pic on his site was photoshopped in this way. Scamming people out of millions. Someone on his personal staff even got tired of him forging these and was mistreated as an employee, so he revealed an email from Gladstone to his assoicate, in which Gladstone is telling this associate to get together several guitars that the bands in question would probably play and sign them this way or that way. So please people, never ever ever let photos trick you into believing something. Do the research, pay for a quality opinion. For music, their is no better than Roger Epperson.. A simple trick is just to google the name of the autograph company, or the person in charge, with the term forger after it. Most of the time you will see right off whats going on.
Forgers are everywhere and they take advantage of false and misleading info and pictures. They prey on those who believe a COA means something has to be real. Lots get fooled by the so called money back guarantee if your not completely satisfied. Yet what you will find with most of these, is that if you try and get your money back, they will tell you that they dont trust the authenticator that you got the item looked at by, and thus you are out of luck. Instead they will give you the name of someone like Chris Morales who certs everything, and when it comes back good from him, they will of course argue that the item was genuine.
Also, be very wary of AFTAL and UACC members. AT one time, a registered dealer from these organizations meant that you could trust them. But now, thats not the case. Their are some great ones out their, but their are also bad ones mixed in. And be sure to not the difference between registered dealers and members. If your just a member of AFTAL or UACC then you dont have to abide by any standards, where as a dealer has too and can be kicked out.
Please just watch out people, their are forgers and dishonest dealers out their that outnumber the good ones many times over.
Props to you, your a veteran collector.

OMG, wow, im speechless, well almost.
Its sometimes very hard to say this in this hobby because you hear so much dumn stuff sometimes, but i agree with the user who said that what Gary posted was the dumbest thing he had ever heard. That logic has got to be the stupidest and the most ignorant and uninformed i have ever heard. I wouldnt be so harsh if i thought he was a green collector, but it doesnt seem that way. To think that just because you got a reply back that its real, is just plain stupidity. If what your trying to say is that we should be happy with any response, well thats true, because they truly dont owe us anything. But for new collectors, please please please please, a million times over, never and i do mean never think that just b/c you got a reply that its real. That is just ignorant logic. I really just cant believe someone posted that response. Maybe they were just trying to be funny b/c even a new member who had never collected an auto wouldnt say something that crazy.
Wow, just wow

Well thats easy to see now. Alot smarter people than me and you have been scammed out of alot more money than i was. lLook at wall street, owners of the mets, the billions scammed by bernie madow. Whats the answer trust no one? Its really S====Y that people are like that. I guess unless as crooked as they are you dont want to believe that anyone would do that to people. Like I said before LET THEM ROT IN JAIL. Im sure weve all had someone we trust do us wrong. Its my own fault for trusting the wrong person.
