The dreaded price list.  In July, I wrote to him, to the address in the database. And 3 months later I get a postcard refering me to a website, to get a photo signed costs the same as to buy one. Over $25.
Nah. I [iwon't[/i be buying one. I don't pay. I don't have the money for it. He used to sign one for free, and return the rest unsigned. Not anymore, apparently. 
Go ahead and defend him.
