hi mighty modders,

i don't really like any of these modern Britcoms. i would recommend all of the ones on my list. i prefer the brilliant classic comedies from the 1970s and 80s. i think the quality of comedy has deteriorated now, but i still like some things like the recent Last of the Summer Wine episodes and Harry Hills TV Burp as well as the sitcom Not Going Out with Lee Mack, Tim Vine, Sally Bretton and Miranda Hart!

Wow, so many to choose from. I guess a few of my favourites would have to be:

-One Foot in the Grave

-The League of Gentlemen (I'm a pretty massive fan, haha!)

I love Only Fools and Horses and Fawlty Towers the most. I think David Jason is such a brilliant actor and he is so good at being different characters - eg his character as Del Boy in OFAH is different from Granville in Open All Hours and Pop Larkin in Darling Buds of May.

My favourite comedians are Eddie Izzard, Billy Connoly and Michael McIntyre. Eddie is my favourite, easily.

She's a good comic actress, but not a "comedian". That suggests stand up or panel shows, to me.
