Anyone Going To Autographica London 2010?
Is anyone here attending the next Autographica?
(www.autographica.co.uk) If so, I'd really appreciate a little help, regarding photoshoots. Please post if you're going

Hey! I'm not going to Autographica, but I've been to other conventions by the same organisers, if that might help??

I'm just a little confused by the photoshoots that they arrange...someone said there's some kind of colour system? Do you know anything about this?
Many thanks for your reply

Yep, yep! I know what you mean! This certainly happened at Collectormania 16 in May, and I think at the LFCC in the summer. Basically, the photoshoot tickets are printed in different colours. Given the number of people that are likely to buy photoshoot tickets it would be unfeasible for people to go into the photoshoot in strictly number order, so they would call up everyone with, maybe, red tickets first, then everyone holding yellow tickets etc etc. I think the colour order will be on display at the event - to my knowledge I don't think its posted on the forum before the event. I've not heard of a photoshoot where people have been turned away (I know of some that have over-run so that everyone can get through!). If you have a particular reason you need to go through the the photoshoot earlier than your colour (ie to get to a talk etc), do have a chat to the staff; they're very helpful!
Hope that helps!

Oh, that was insanely helpful, thank you so much. I've never been to a photoshoot at a Showmasters event, so I was pretty confused, haha. Thanks again!echoamaru wrote:Icena wrote:Hopefully you can help me!echoamaru wrote:Hey! I'm not going to Autographica, but I've been to other conventions by the same organisers, if that might help??

No probs! You're very welcome!
One thing I forgot to mention, is that (certainly for Collectormania and LFCC events - I've never been to an Autographica) do make sure you're at the photoshoot on or before the shoot is due to start. When I say colours are "called out"; it's usually by a chap shouting to the group of amassed persons as loud as he can - not over a loudspeaker or event tannoy or anything!
