I get them ocassionally-not very often. I have medication I take and when I'm going through one I take deep, slow breaths and try to slowly regain control. If you're having them you need to speak with a doctor-this board is not the place to get help with this sort of thing.
I mainly collect voice actor and Disney related autographs-Any questions with Disney successes/addresses? Feel free to PM me!

Please, please see a doctor about this if you haven't already. Be 100% honest about your symptoms and the situations in your life that might be attributing to what you're feeling. He or she will need to make a diagnosis that it is a panic attack and not something else. If it is an anxiety attack the doctor might recommend therapy, stress reduction techniques, and possibly medication. Some people can't take narcotic anti-anxiety meds or meds on an "as needed up to X times a day" basis. If you worry at all that might be the case with you tell the doctor upfront... especially if you have personal history of substance abuse or if anyone in your family has an addiction problem. There are other medications that the doctor could prescribe if you two choose a route involving medication at all.

Drinking a lot of caffiene--sodas or coffee--is really not good for people who have anxiety issues (or migriane headaches).

If a doctor tells you that you have panic attacks and you want to talk to someone about it, PM me if you want to.

I hope you get feeling better.

I have lived with panic attacks for about 15 years now. It took me years to even leave the area in which I live. I hated to drive or being in public places. Restaurants were a big no no for me. I hated being in a crowd and I hated being alone. Made work pretty hard. My breathing felt rushed, my arms and stomach and sometimes my face would tingle. I would sweat. I felt like death was upon me. I have told multiple doctors about them and not one has ever done anything. I learned how to deal with them myself. I learned how to control them and now I get them less frequently. As long as you dont dwell on them they can be controlled without meds. I carry my Ipod and when I feel one coming I play angry birds. If I cant do that, I wear a rubber band on my wrist. If one starts I will gently start to snap the band. Not enough to leave welts or to hurt. Keep yourself busy to keep your mind off the attack. And remember you will not die even though it feels like you are. You have to find the best way to help yourself. If it is going to a shrink then by all means go. I dont believe in that sort of thing, but I will never knock it if it helps some people. If it is by meds then again. What ever works. Limit your caffeine intake and ciggarettes if you smoke. Both can bring an attack on. I still drink about a pop a day just not all day. Hope this helps. If you need someone to talk to pm me. I can surely tell you more about my experiences.
