A question regarding IRCs.
I have some DVD covers that I want to send off to be signed and I was wondering if anyone here could tell me whether 2 IRCs would be enough to cover the return postage of a 5x7 envelope, a DVD cover and a small, thin piece of card if they were being returned to the UK from America. Thank you
.

Re: A question regarding IRCs.
IRC are a ripoff but to answer your question i am not sure. IRC's cost roughly $2.10 USD and are worth half of that (roughly 1 USD) so I am assuming you would need around 3 of them to be safe. A lot of times I see the people return them unused if they weren't needed.
You would have to check out the USPS website, enter the weight and destination and they can calculate the postage cost for you. But an IRC is only worth 97 cents to $1 in US postage and they cost about double that.

Re: A question regarding IRCs.
IRC's are a horrible idea for sending out of the country. The celebs I sent them to didnt even know what to do with them. Most of the time I sent them I either got nothing back or my signed photo WITH the IRC's returned as well.
Get stamps they work soooooo much better and its far easier to calculate how many to put on.

Thanks for your help guys
. Thanks for the advice of using the USPS website ultimateager, I'll give that a go
.
I know IRCs are a rip off and that stamps are so much easier to use but as I live in England and can rarely get my hands on any US stamps, and I really want to get a few requests out soon so I have no real choice but to use them. Also I have six IRCs that I havn't used and they cost me £9.60 to buy so I don't really want to not use them and have wasted my money.

Befriend a fellow collector from the US and do a stamp exchange. Swap US stamps for UK stamps of an autograph of similar value.Jack.S wrote:I know IRCs are a rip off and that stamps are so much easier to use but as I live in England and can rarely get my hands on any US stamps, so I have no real choice but to use them.

Thanks for all your help guys

I used the USPS website to calculate the return postage and it should only cost about $1.18 to send back so I think two coupons should cover it.
Thanks again for the help.

Question about this similar thing.
I want to do the opposite. Send something to the UK and hopefully get it back. Do I use US stamps to get it there and then get UK stamps for the return journey? Or do I do this the other way around?
