Oh my god.. I knew you wern't the brightest but this is ridiculous.. haha. Anything that is used to store digital media is a CD. An EP is a CD. An LP is a CD. Whether the CD had 1 song, 10 songs or 100 songs on it, it is a CD.

OMG lol! You always call someone out for being "dumb." Stop being so ignorant. It's not a good quality to have. And YES the format is in CD form, BUT it's not called a CD technically...since there is only six songs on it. That's why there are different names for them because they are used! If there were no other names, YUP it would be called CD, but it's not technically correct and THAT is what I am trying to state. Because it's the TRUTH.

(they wouldn't have those other names if they weren't true...)

You REALLY need to learn the difference between LP, CD, and EP before saying ANYTHING.

An LP is a "long play", or a full-length album. Yes, the term is derived from a type of vinyl record, but guess what, so's the term EP. Today, both terms are used to refer to albums (be it CD, MP3, etc), even if they're not vinyl.

A CD is a compact disc that stores music. As ScottishDan pointed out, if a CD if it's a CD, regardless of whether or not it's also an EP, or an LP, or how many songs might be on it.

I DO KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT! Me and the OP of this convo (EMMA) were talking about the price and why it was so cheap and the reason why is because it's an EP! A CD costs more than an EP. So maybe you should read what we were talking about before commenting like a douche. And I CARE THE TECHNICALLY WORD BECAUSE I WAS EXPLAINING TO EMMA WHY IT WAS SO CHEAP! And that's where EP and CD came into play because I was telling her why...

An EP is a CD!! A CD can be the price of an EP or an LP. A CD can cost more or less than an EP. A CD is the collective name for EPs and LPs. That's just like saying "chocolate costs more than food". Chocolate is a "food" but "food" can be any price. I think I will have more luck training my dog how to ride a bike than explaining something to you.
