Harrison Ford pre-print success

On 11th March, I sent a LOR along with an A6 photo and SASE to Harrison Ford. Considering I live in the UK and the envelopes had to travel to the USA and back, I was surprised to receive a response so quickly, that is today, on 9th April – just 29 days later.

Instead of using my envelope and stamps, the person handling Harrison Ford’s mail provided their own (bigger one) and included an A5 signed photo. Unfortunately, the signature turned out to be a pre-print (I just re-checked now other feedback here and turns out others have received PPs too, I have no idea how I missed this fact earlier!). However, they also enclosed a typical letter explaining that due to the high volume of requests, Harrison no longer responds personally to fan mail, and they acknowledged my obvious disappointment. Still, I appreciate that they sent something rather than ignoring my letter, which still feels like a small success.
