You can get special mylar sleeves (comic book collectors use these). They are neutral ph and really great for keeping your autographs in perfect condition.
They are also very expensive! So my advice is to use the standard poly ones from the office suppliers!
I recently decided to just use a book because I can never find frames that look alike for all my different sizes of autographs. And now I'll be able to carry them around.
My storing of autographs:
Right now is the PP's go into a binder with plastic protective sleeves. Then my real autographs are going to go in frames, that will be put on a wall.
I will be trying to get real autographs of some of the PP's I have then if there is any question I can compare autographs to the PP's.
Also there is a dollar store near my home that does sell all different types and sizes of frames, they have some nice ones too. Cheaper way to get frames.

Why don't you scan your originals and frame the copies, because like somebody said already, the sun can fade your pictures, but more importantly, unless autos are signed in permanent ink, they will fade also.
My advice would be to copy your originals and file them away - display the copies!!!!! That way when they fade you can reprint them! After all it takes time to get them in the first place - try to hang onto them!
i frame all my favorites and authentics....and sicne i only right to celebs i like all of them are framed and away from sunlight...Ahhh the dollar store we have a few a well overhere
I, likewise, put all my letters in plastic sheets (then into a binded folder), the autographs I put into an acid free photo album (cost of around $30AU), that way its out of the suns glare.
Iit is unfortunate that the sun fades the items but I suppose if you have a darkish room in which the sun can't get in then you would be ok... To sound even more pedantic what about the humidity levels etc? That does affect the items, although at this stage I don't bother with all that, I just keep it in a dark place and hope it keeps!

Well I put my frames away from sunlight, like others have said they are in a darker room.
