It was a really sad story
We had a similar thing happen a couple of years ago just 2 miles from where I live: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/linc ... 557431.stm
or http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/anima ... 556645.stm
The worst bit about the London whale was that they had managed to tow it to within view of the sea, and it just gave up fighting.
Apparently it was been pretty badly scratched up on boats props etc on its swim up the Thames on friday, so it was doubtful if it was going to survive. Afterall, it was a few hundred miles off course of its usual home!!!!
Even so, it was a very sad story. RIP whale.
