Seeking advice on 2 Golden Age stars

Hi. I have just started collecting autographs of stars from the 40s-50s, and wondered if anyone could tell me if you thought it was worth sending photos to
1) Olivia de Havilland
2) Ann Rutherford.
Someone told me Olivia hasn't signed for a while now, and that Ann now lives in UK (different than the address on this site) and no longer responds to mail.
Please let me know. I'm trying to collect while not spending a ton of money and want to be wise if there's no chance of getting anything back.
