Re: Letter Help! Sports!
First this topic has been covered more than once but once more won't hurt.
As far as specific information or content of your letter, only you (in my opinion) can decide that. However, I would suggest that sincerity will go a long way toward success. Also being brief, polite and respectful will be helpful. Generally I use a three paragraph format in which I (you chose the order) tell the individual that I admire / respect / enjoy (you chose the word) their work / skill or whatever. In another paragraph I respectfully request their autograph. In the third (I always make this that last paragraph) I thank the person for their time and consideration. Don't forget to use the words "Please" and "Thank you." Again, the words need to be yours and just as (if not more) importantly they need to be sincere. There are, of course, the standard print or write neatly and include at the very least a SASE. You will usually find that including the item that you want signed will increase your chances of success substantially.

I have been asked many times about trading / selling some of my autographs. I am sorry but my collection is not and will not be for sale.

It's pretty weird that this is EXACTLY what I do. Three paragraphs, same order. xDDanaRenoMBA wrote:First this topic has been covered more than once but once more won't hurt.

Hmmm, great minds think alike. Of course, since I don't have a great mind that theory must be seriously flawed.
