Al Woodall Football - November 10th, 2025 Frank Alley Woodall (born December 7, 1945) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback for the New York Jets in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Duke Blue Devils, earning All-American honors. He played several seasons with the Jets in the AFL and NFL. He started several games in 1970, 1971, and 1973, subbing for an injured Joe Namath. Woodall retired after spending the 1975 season on injured reserve with torn knee ligaments.
