I would not chance sending $20. Since they sent his items back, they should have included his $10 with a note stating $20+ gets you an autograph.

That's cool. IMO sending donations is a good way of increasing your chances of getting an autograph, but you can (and I have!) get burned. In this case, it's rude to keep his $10 but mail everything else back. He was exchanging $10 for an autograph... If $10 isn't enough, just mail it back with everything else. It's going to a good cause, but still, it seems rude. Just my 2-cents!
