My friends think it's interesting hobby but that's all. My collecting didn!t persuade them to start, too  My family thinks it's really interesting hobby, too, but they don't have much time to admire my collection. Only one real admirer of this hobby is my dear cousin (she's like my sister) and I often write to stars instead of her, because she would be very fond of collecting but doesn't speak English and doesn't have a lot of money.

My family don't pay any attention to my collection. My mum's not interested at all and my dad is even less interested than her
My friends have the odd flick through my binders when they come over but apart from that, it's a very private collection.

Did I mention my dog likes eating them when they come through the letter box?

My parents think it is a huge waste of time and money and it lacks my school work. Some of my friends are just like "OMG. That's soo cool!" and some are like, "Um...what..the...hell? Why would you want to get their autographs for?" hahaha

They think its stupid, pointless and a massive waste of money. They also think its a very anti-social, boring hobby. I don't see it the same way obviously, to me there's nothing more exciting then owning a piece of history, like an autograph from Tony Blair or Desmond Tutu.

My mum dosen't really care, but if i recieve an autograph of someone who my dad has heard of, he seem to take a slight interest.. I have mixed views from school friends, also depending on whos autograph it is. Some think it is really good hobby, and others think that i'm sad!! Never mind, it's not their collection :P

My mom and dad think it's really cool. My brother thinks it's a waste of time and teases me about it lol, unless it's someone he likes. And I don't tell my friends because they think it's strange.

It seems to be a trend that a lot of other people don't understand this hobby; and I'm not quite sure why that is...My mother has commented that I'll be glad I did this one day (but apparently not today...?) but hasn't really taken an interest beyond that. Since I collect historical autographs, I think most people are turned off by the fact that they don't recognize the person's name right away (although they should!) I find this somewhat ironic because these people are a part of history because they have incredible life stories which I find fascinating, but most people simply aren't interested. Maybe its all in how you tell the story...Regardless, I'd agree that mine is a very private collection as well.
