Happy Holidays to everyone!
Hello!
I just wanted to pass along my wish for everyone to have Happy Holidays this year. I know I'm a tad early, but I know many of you might be leaving soon on holiday (and for those of you that are travelling, may you have very safe journeys!).
I hope that you all get a chance to reflect on your year so far and look forward to the upcoming one. I know I've had a wonderful year with so many blessings given to me that it makes me really anticipate another great year . I thought it might be fun that if anyone would like to, feel free to start a list about all the things that you are thankful for happening to you this year and what you might want to see happen in the New Year. I'll start:
A look back at things that have happened this year:
1. I've had another wonderful, fulfilling year as a wife and mother to 2 of the most awesome children anyone could have asked for.
2. My family has enjoyed good health overall (besides the flu which my son seems to love to bring home from school on occasion ) and no financial struggles.
3. This year has been full of good fortune and wise decisions for our family .
4. I've finally found enough time to send out more autograph requests than last year, so hopefully those will be panning out here very soon ;).
Things that I hope happen in 2008:
1. All of the above to continue!
2. I hope that I continue to grow as a person, wife and mother.
3. And I'm SOOO looking forward to going to a hockey game (our once-a-year tradition) in February!!! {thumb2}
4. I pray for the stray gray ones on my head to magically disappear...um, or at least not multiply! (right, Ian ...just kidding, just kidding!). Hey that's what hair dye is all about ;).
Only 15 more days until Christmas!!!!!!

I don't know what you are talking about?! I am seriously considering a bit of anti-grey help though for 2008 I haven't used colouring products though since I bleached my hair white at 29 (1999) and scared the cat.elmomommyto2 wrote:right, Ian ...just kidding, just kidding!). I think for Christmas 2007 - I am thankful for all the small things of family life. For my kids, my wife, our combined healths, and just keeping the wolves from the door Stuff we all take for granted, but cherish a little more as the years go by.
Every year I hope the following one will be a little bit better than the previous one, and I suppose my overriding wish (albeit a bit cheesy!) is that people of the world can strive to be a little more tolerant, a little more thoughtful, and a whole lot more respectful to each other.
After all, we are all stuck on this big spinning lump of rock not really knowing where we are going. Isn't it time we extend a hand to our fellow human and say we accept way they are getting by the same as us, even if it is not the way we would choose to do it ourselves? Country to country - the ways of the world are often different, but that does not necessarily make them wrong if they are not the same as ours
Happy Christmas to everyone here, and a peaceful and prosperous 2008
Ian

Sure, sure, go into denial on me . Poor little kitty !I don't know what you are talking about?! I am seriously considering a bit of anti-grey help though for 2008 I haven't used colouring products though since I bleached my hair white at 29 (1999) and scared the cat.
But on a serious note, I completely second your wish for everyone to be a little more kind, more thoughtful, and in general respect others. It reminds me of Black Friday shopping at Target this year. Granted, I will be the first to admit that I can be a hardcore shopper when the need arises, however what I experienced this year was horrible. Everything was going as planned when the guards began to let the line in at 6 a.m. until suddenly everyone started moving faster and faster :insert "I-was-scared-for my life" icon?:. Before I knew it, I was almost trampled while stopping to help a 40-something lady who was trying to crawl into a clothing rack for protection ! Unbelievable that people could act like they do sometimes. So please let's try to be kinder and take others into consideration .

Happy holidays to everyone!
Yes, remember to stay safe (especially shopping for gifts; the malls can get crazy with people trampling on each other)
