Voting proceedure
So when we make a poll, do we just chat amongst our own team, or do we vote in each team's polls?
Re: scouser#1

Yes, it would be a great idea to clarify how the trainees are supposed to be promoted.
I've already had one of my trainees ask, and I said I'd get back to them once the system settles down and I find out exactly how the promotion process is supposed to be like ...

Re: scouser#1
Hi guys
No problem I'll try to explain it:
If an Admin is approached by a Trainee, then they will (in all probability) set up a poll for that person in the Moderators Forum, and they will usually have a vote themselves Otherwise they will pass the info to the appropriate Team Leader for them to start it.
If a Team Leader is approached by a Trainee, then the Team Leader can start the poll themselves.
If another Moderator in the team is approached, they should pass on the query to the Team Leader for them to start the poll.
It is then up to the rest of the Trainee's team to cast their votes as to yes or no. It would be helpful if each team also added a post when they voted so that we can check when everybody (or at least most of the team) has had their say. The post does not need to reveal their vote, but could simply say: "voted" and their name.
The votes which count though, will only be those of the Trainee's current team, and not all the moderators on the board .
The idea is that it will make the voting system a lot quicker, because there should only be about 10-12 people to vote each time, and since the voting will be cast by their own teams it should be more constructive than the current system where if most people are voting no, everybody else votes the same way!!!
I hope I have explained this in a kind of understandable way It is really a pretty simple scheme, but I just manage to make it sound complicated when I write it down
When you are all OK with this, I will put an announcement in the moderators forum explaining it all to the mods
Cheers,
Ian
