THE MOST AMAZING SUCCESS

Post by Peyton »

what is your most amazing success? I'm mean not just like oh yeah, I din't think he would sign but then he did or I sent him 5 photos and he signed and personalized all of them. I mean sweet amazing successes! Like Andy316's success with James Earl Jones, he got an autograph and 4 others signed by the other Darth Vader.

Mine- Jake Thomas, probably, I sent him 2 photos and a questionaire. He signed both photos, sent his own photo personalized, and filled out the questions. It was sweet!

Mine was from 20-25 years ago, early 80's.

I had 2 Ted Williams autographs and I sent a TTM to Mr Terry asking him to sign a postcard for a display I was making.

He signed the card and also sent a handwritten letter asking for a donation.

I sent a check and when that returned I had a total of 3 Bill Terry Autographs.

I gave 1 away, kept one and sent the 3rd to the Baseball Hall Of Fame.

TTM I would have to say Opera singer Lesley Garrett. I wrote her in February c/o The Sound Of Music in London and sent one IC incase she didn't have photo's available to sign.
She signed and personalised my IC, sent another signed IC of her own, a signed and personalised ad for her new cd, and best of all her own headed IC with a handwritten note telling me about her role as Mother Abess in The Sound Of Music! She is amazing to her fans! I'm hoping to finaly meet her in November when I see her in concert :D

My greatest IP success was meeting H from Steps at musicmanialive. He posed for photo's with me and my mum and after signing the photo I had paid for he gave me three more for free! {??} {??}

My most amazing purchase was my beloved Bette Davis (obviously :) )

Definitely my Marisa Tomei seeing as it's the first success I've ever seen from her posted on fanmail.biz! And over a year and a half wait I had completely given up hope too {thumb2}!

For me I'll say Christian Kane. I wrote him a letter asking for a signed photo and I also sent him a drawing i did as a gift. He sent a autographed photo back and wrote on it a comment on my drawing (which i never expected he would) saying 'Sai, Awsome art work! XXOO "his signiture" ' . I didn't get over that for months, not to mention it was my frist success too! :p

I have 2. One is just because they're my favourite footballer ever, and the other is because I got a really lucky break with the person.

1. Magnus Wolff Eikrem. He's a norweigen kid playing for Manchester Uniteds academy. A friend went to the Milk Cup this year and got him to sign a photograph for me :D I've had it for about a month or maybe a little longer, and I'm still ridiculously pleased with it :D It's probably the first thing I'd grab if my house was on fire lol.

2. Jean Tigana. In 2001 I wrote to him when he was the manager of Fulham, asking for a signed photograph of him. A few weeks later I got a photo signed by him, along with an offer to meet him for an interview type thing, as I had told him that for a school thing I was doing something on managing football clubs. I went along to the training ground, met some of the players, (big names being Steed Malbranque and Edwin Van Der Sar) and got a book signed by the whole squad.

Like Peyton mentioned, it has to be my James Earl Jones success, which I've quoted below. This still makes me so happy everytime I think about it :D
I sent a small 6x4 custom pic, and an 8x10 that had already been autographed by Dave Prowse, who played the physical part of Darth Vader (whereas James Earl Jones played the voice). I didnt receive my 8x10 Dave Prowse auto back, I'm assuming something must've happened to it, because what I DID receive must go down as my best success ever. I received my 6x4 back signed, 2 index cards signed (which I didnt send), and FIVE 8x10s signed by James Earl Jones AND Dave Prowse!! I'm so happy, this has made my day! 2 of the pics have the same small hologram in the bottom corner that the OfficialPix photos have, and have stickers on the back naming the date and location of the private signing of when Dave Prowse signed them.

Hopefully one day I can get Hayden Christensen to sign one of the double signed 8x10s, that would be probably the centrepiece of my collection, and an amazing piece of memorabilia.

What a way to kick start my Star Wars collection!

my most amazing success was Ian Thorpe. he doesn't sign ttm but i emailed Michelle Flaskas (his business manager) for 2 years, donated and finally i asked for an auto, she got one for me. i've put it in a frame with all the pictures that i've got from him. he's such a great role model for kids and i aspire to be as great of a person as he is. although i'm a female and some people would think it's ridiculous anywho.
