I am writing to soccer great, Pele. Should I write my request in English or in Spanish or another lannguage. What should I do?

Would that apply to most foreign footballers? I'm looking to write to Hristo Stoichkov who is manager of Celta Vigo and he is Bulgarian. So just English for that and hope fur the best?
