SIR JOHN HURT - SUCCESS!!

I've been a big fan of John's work ever since I heard his voice, when I was a child, as Hazel, one of the leading characters in the animated film Watership Down.
I think he's a great actor and so I sent him a few photos from some of my favourite roles he's played over the years.

I sent 8 page A5 LOR, 4 photos, SASE.

Received all photos autographed in my SASE.

Unfortunately the photo signed in gold ink wouldn't dry and much of it came off when I removed the photo from the envelope. No matter how long I left it, the ink wouldn't dry. I did a bit of research and read the only way to prevent the ink from deteriorating further is to spray the area with clear gloss spray used for protecting oil paintings. I purchased some off Ebay, sprayed over the ink. Left it to dry for an hour and sure enough, I can rub my finger over the ink and it no longer smudges.

I'm very greatful for this success and hope all works out well for John.
