Carl Alvin Scheib (born January 1, 1927 in Gratz, Pennsylvania) is a retired professional baseball player, a right-handed pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics (1943–1945 and 1947–1954) and St. Louis Cardinals (1954) of Major League Baseball. Scheib led the American League in Wild Pitches (9) in 1950. He was one of the best-hitting pitchers of his time. In 1948, he registered 31 hits in 104 at bats, for a batting average of .298 with two home runs and 21 runs batted in.
He was the youngest player in the American League in 1943 and 1944.
