This past month, I sent a letter and a DVD insert to Mr. Wilder's home address. Except this wasn't for me. It was for my father in law (who has been more of a father to me than my real one ever was.) His 55th birthday is in March and Gene Wilder is one of his favorite actors (Young Frankenstein is one of his favorite movies as well.) I told Mr. Wilder all about it and asked him to make it out "To Tim" (that is my FIL's name.) Anyways, I wanted to get him something special for his birthday this year, and seeing as how pretty much everyone who has written to Mr. Wilder has heard back, I figured he would be the best to write to. Well, anyways, I saw a failure posted on here this past week about rubber stamps being used. Seeing that, as recent as it was, I kind of figured thats what I would get. Well, it came back today. It doesn't look like a stamp, but he didn't personalize like I asked (which isn't really a BIG deal.) However, theres just something that doesn't seem quite right. I was hoping for some second opinions if you please. I'm not giving this to him if it isnt real. I totally understand why Mr. Wilder has grown tired of signing through the mail, but still...
